Let’s answer common concerns

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua.

I’m not flexible at all. Can I still do yoga?

Yes! This is the most common misconception about yoga. You don’t need to be flexible to start, yoga is what helps you become flexible. Our classes are designed to meet you where you are, and our instructors will provide modifications and props to support your body’s unique needs. The goal is progress, not perfection.

What should I wear to class?

Wear comfortable, breathable clothing that allows for a full range of motion. Form-fitting athletic wear is popular as it helps instructors see your alignment, but loose shorts, leggings, or a t-shirt are perfectly fine. We practice barefoot, so you can leave your shoes and socks at the door.

What should I bring?

Just bring yourself, an open mind, and a water bottle! We have yoga mats and props (blocks, straps, blankets) available for you to use free of charge. However, if you have your own mat and prefer to use it, you are more than welcome to bring it along.

When should I arrive for my first class?

Please arrive at least 10-15 minutes before the scheduled class time. This gives you plenty of time to check in, fill out a quick waiver, get acquainted with the studio space, and find a spot on your mat. Our doors are locked promptly at the start of class to ensure a peaceful and uninterrupted practice for everyone.

Should I eat or drink before class?

It’s best to avoid a heavy meal at least 1-2 hours before class, as yoga involves twisting, bending, and inversions that can be uncomfortable on a full stomach. A light snack (like a banana or a handful of nuts) an hour before class is fine if you’re feeling hungry. Hydrate well throughout the day, and feel free to bring a water bottle to sip from before and after class.

I’ve never done yoga. Which class should I take?

Our “Foundations of Flow” or “Gentle Hatha” classes are perfect for beginners. They focus on foundational poses, proper alignment, and connecting breath to movement at a comfortable pace. Once you feel confident, you can explore other styles like our Vinyasa or Restorative classes.

Join our supportive community and connect with fellow yogis on your wellness journey. We’re more than a studio, we’re a family.
